Transcripts/Transfer Credit

For all students who recently completed a term abroad though American InterContinental University:

• An official transcript is mailed directly to the student's home school approximately 4 weeks after completing the study abroad term, as long as the student is not on academic hold and all fees are paid. Please allow sufficient time for the college/university to receive and process the transcript. For students spending multiple terms studying abroad, transcripts and grade mailers will be mailed after each term completed.
• Please remember to keep copies of all syllabi and coursework, as many colleges and universities will request to see work before processing transfer credit.
• Grade mailers are sent to each student's permanent address once grades are released (approximately 4 weeks after each term). AIU will not release student grade information over the phone.

To find out whether an academic or financial hold has been placed on a student account, or to verify the address to which a transcript was sent, please contact the AIU Study Abroad program at 1-800-255-6839.

Transcript Request

To request a transcript from your Study Abroad term, please download and complete a copy of the Transcript Request Form.

• Transcripts mailed to you will be issued in a signed and sealed envelope.
• The fee for each transcript is $5.
• Payment may be made in the form of a check, credit card or money order. Checks should be made out to AIU Study Abroad. Please be aware there is a $15 minimum charge when using credit cards.
• Transcripts will be mailed within 1 week of receipt of the transcript request.
• If any additional required forms need to be included with your transcript, please include the form with your transcript request.
